Splash! brings students from Latin America and helps them become great bilingual teachers. Come live in the U.S. and work in a language immersion program here. Benefits
As a Splash! Intern you will receive a stipend, exchange visitor sponsorship, room and board, transportation to and from school, formal training, and on-the-job training, as well as transition and personal support.

Training
You receive training/staff development in areas such as effective instructional practices, behavior management techniques, and interpersonal skills.  You will learn about the US culture and system of education.  Training sessions will enrich your knowledge of best teaching and professional practices and provide a solid foundation for your teaching career. Throughout all training sessions there will be a focus on enhancing your English language proficiency.

Requirements
In order to be considered for Splash!, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled and have completed at least three years in an elementary education program in a partner university in Latin America
  • Be a native speaker of Spanish
  • Be able to communicate in English with colleagues and parents in the U.S.
  • Be eligible for an exchange visitor's visa in the J-1 intern category
